EMC Storage Specialist, SYMCLI, Brocade, Unix, VMWare;
A leading fund management organisation requires a 'hands on' EMC Storage Specialist with SAN and Storage administration.
The EMC Storage Specialist will come from a medium to large scale commercial environment. Previous experience can be gained within a vendor, storage consultancy or end customer.
The role primarily involves understanding & managing the hardware & software architecture that currently provides storage (SAN & NAS) for all applications across my clients enterprise.
The EMC Storage Specialist will maintain & support the backup infrastructure (Symantec NetBackup) to support overnight backups for all systems.
Essential Skills & Experience for the role of EMC Storage Specialist:-
* Proven track record of Systems Administration on Storage Platforms (Brocade, EMC, Veritas etc);
* SYMCLI, EMC DMX;
* Experience building highly available solutions (Replication, Clones, Snapshots etc)
* Sound knowledge of Hardware (Switches and Storage), the marketplace and scalability options within each platform area;
* Proven track record of building & supporting complex storage solutions;
