Known as an IT Giant and still growing, this is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced and Professional SHAREPOINT and .NET Developer to join in their success and enjoy a solid career! As a part of a dedicated team involved in very high profile work, you will assist in the SOFTWARE DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT on small to large sized DEVELOPMENT projects. This position is based within a busy Microsoft Development practice developing both bespoke Internet Applications and applications utilising SharePoint Application Servers. The role covers:
Assisting in the development and delivery of software applications.
Understanding of the business requirements of an application to ensure that any development or maintenance meets the customer's business requirements and the agreed design.
Be able to understand, learn and use recognised frameworks, design patterns, tools and standards.
Work alongside other teams in the provision of a single seamless application service to the customer.
Produce and have a mature approach to documentation and distribution of knowledge.
Ensure that quality control and quality assurance procedures are performed in accordance with development standards.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE;
Degree and a minimum of 2 years commercial experience in a Web Development role;
Minimum of 2 years commercial experience developing with SharePoint (WSS);
Experience developing with ASP, ASP.net , VB.net or C#;
Commercial experience of using Visual Studio 2005;
Experience of working in various operating environments i.e. Server 2003;
Experience of web development tools i.e.HTML, Java Script, XML, CSS Ajax
Excellent working knowledge of relational databases and SQL, specifically SQL Server
Excellent written and verbal communication (English).
Mostly office based but some travel may be required
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:
Good understanding of software development lifecycle
Commercial experience developing with SharePoint 2007 (MOSS);
Developing internet web sites using MOSS 2007;
Commercial experience of using Visual Studio 2008
